FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A BUYER'S AGENT?
Buyers' Agents are licensed professionals who complete the tricky parts of buying properties for their clients.

At Executive Adelaide, our Chief Buyer Adam Gardnir is a Buyer's Agent who does the searching and evaluating of properties, both on-market and off-market, and negotiates the purchase price and sale terms directly with Real Estate agents.

WHO USES A BUYER'S AGENT?
Anyone who is entering the property market and wants someone with local knowledge on their side. Buyers' Agents work for clients in all price ranges, spanning city, suburban and regional postcodes.

WHY ENGAGE A BUYER'S AGENT?
Buyers' Agents are highly skilled at communicating with Real Estate Agents, which can speed up the buying process and remove a bunch of risks. They also have early knowledge of new listings that often get sold before going to market (that's what off-market means).

WILL A BUYER'S AGENT ACT IN MY BEST INTERESTS?
Yes. Buyers' Agents communicate regularly with a wide range of Real Estate Agents in order to gain the earliest leads for on and off-market properties. However, a good Buyer's Agent will always keep their client's best interests at the centre of their work, so you can be sure someone is on your side.

WHO PAYS A BUYER'S AGENT?
Buyer's Agent fees are paid by the property buyer and will normally include an upfront retainer with the remainder due at settlement.

WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO MEET WITH A BUYER'S AGENT?
I would suggest as early as possible, that's so you can understand the kind of deposit you're preparing and which post codes you're keenest to look into. Then as great properties come up, I can bring them to you and we can consider the next steps
